Living History Farms

Living History Farms is an interactive outdoor history museum where historic interpreters and hands-on activities present the many stories of Midwestern rural heritage. Three farm sites represent the years 1700, 1850, and 1900. The 1876 town of Walnut Hill demonstrates the relationship between farms and growing communities in the 19th century. Businesses include a General Store and a working Blacksmith and Print Shop. Guests can also visit the Flynn Mansion and Barn, built on this site in the 1870s.

Farmer leads mule away from barn at 1900-era farm, raising hay into barn.
