Located on a 20-acre stretch of land between Iowa City and Kalona, Lucky Star Farm is home to about 100 laying hens, a small flock of turkeys, a dozen dairy goats, a couple of dogs and five llamas. Owned and operated by Susan Young, we are dedicated to organic practices and currently offer pasture raised eggs year-round. We raise turkeys for the holidays and milk a small number of Nigerian dwarf does. We offer opportunities for agritourism ranging from educational tours, goat yoga, to a farmstay at our newly renovated guesthouse.
